Upcoming ELECTIONS!

topeka seal-NEW

Tuesday, April 5th is ELECTION DAY in Topeka! If you live in an even numbered council district, then Tuesday is YOUR day to cast your vote for your next member of the city council! What does this mean for you? Washburn is in District #6, therefore our city council district is up for election. If you live on campus, or in the surrounding area, you have the chance to cast your vote! Shawnee County Elections Commissioner Elizabeth Ensley predicted on Monday that voter turnout could be as low as 15%- this is simply unacceptable. Unfortunately the numbers forecast for people between the ages of 18-24 are typically much worse. Help prove this statistic wrong and cast your vote in General Elections tomorrow!
