Jayhawk Theater Revival Concert!

Help Save a Treasured Landmark!

Washburn Student Media is doing its part to make sure Topekans know about the historic Jayhawk Theater.

This Saturday at the Break Room, 911 S. Kansas Ave., Student Media will host the “Jayhawk Theatre Revival Concert” with the hopes of helping fundraise restorations for the theatre. The event begins at 7p.m.

A similar event was held in 2009 at the theater, but due to scheduling conflicts and planning issues, it is being hosted by the Break Room. This was decided only a short time ago, but current efforts involve extensive use of social media to get word out about the event.

Regina Budden, Washburn Review Editor-In-Chief, knows that the idea was sprung upon the Break Room very quickly and thinks this shows their integrity.
